REGISTRATION

Registration for seminar, examination or sayonara party:


All bookings for the Seminar and EIC incl. examination must go via the EKF booking system. You need to be a member of the national delegation.

Your delegation leader need to register you as a supporter and can then include you in the number of seminar participants etc.

 

If you need accommodation please book your hotel by yourself (there are recommendations at the website) or together with your delegation (there are no single reservations allowed for the sports hotel - only via the delegation leader).


The final entry registration on the EKF-Website covers:

- Iaido Seminar participants

- Sayonara party participants

MUNICH AIRPORT

Munich Airport "Franz Josef Strauss" is the international commercial airport of the Bavarian capital Munich.

(IATA code: MUC, ICAO code: EDDM)


In 2019, Munich Airport was one of the ten busiest aviation hubs in Europe with around 48 million passengers.


It is situated about 28,5 km outside the city in northeast direction.

Transport to / from the airport

The S1 and S8 S-Bahn lines of Munich Transport Network (MVV) connect the airport to the Munich city center at 10-minute intervals. The S1 travels via the west of the city and the S8 via the east.

The trip to the main railway station at the city center takes approx. 40 minutes.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

CONSTRUCTION WORKS!!!

Extensive construction work will be taking place on S-Bahn and regional trains in the upcoming months. This will also result in partial delays and train cancellations on the S1, S8, RE22 and RB33 airport lines.

Please calculate ~1,5 hours. You have multiple ways to Oberhaching:


Option 1 (RECOMMENDATION):


  • SEV S8 Bus from airport to Johanneskirchen (every 10min)
  • Change at Johanneskirchen into S8
  • S8 to Rosenheimer Platz
  • Change at Rosenheimer Platz to S3
  • S3 direction Holzkirchen/Deisenhofen until FURTH

Option 2: (LONGER)


  • SEV Bus RE22 from airport to Freising

        (Replacement Bus Service every 10min)

  • S1 from Freising to Neufahrn and then continue to Rosenheimer Platz (every 40min )
  • Change at Rosenheimer Platz to S3
  • S3 direction Holzkirchen/Deisenhofen until FURTH


Option 3: (LONGER)


  • SEV Bus S1 from airport to Besucherpark (Zentralallee) (Replacement Bus Service every 10min)
  • S1 from Besucherpark to Neufahrn and then continue to Rosenheimer Platz (every 40min )
  • Change at Rosenheimer Platz to S3
  • S3 direction Holzkirchen/Deisenhofen until FURTH


Way back to the airport:


Traffic work will continue until 3rd November. 

Please check before your trip to/from Munich Airport whether your connection is affected and calculate some more time to the airport (~1,5 hours).

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Munich Transportation Network (MVV)

The public transportation system contains regional trains, (R), S-Bahn (S), Subway (U), Tram (TRAM) and Bus (BUS).


There is quite a range of ticket options. Below you  can find a link to the online-ticketshop, there is aswell an MVV-App and you can buy tickets at the stations.

SWORD TRANSPORT

Important Information for travelling with a sword in Germany:


Those arriving with a sword with sharp blade must transport it in a sealed sword bag.

The sword bag must be locked (e.g. by padlock)!

This also applies for transportation to hotel and sports hall and back. Other limitations do not exist.


The Iaito with blunt blade can be transported in a normal sword bag.
